IDOFED Polytechnic Centre for Vocational Skills Acquisition & Entrepreneurship Education (CVSAE) is a practical, career-focused skills development institution established to equip young people and adults with relevant technical, vocational and entrepreneurial skills for employment, self-reliance and business creation.

Our vision is to become a leading centre of excellence in technical and vocational education, producing skilled, innovative and confident graduates who can compete successfully in Nigeria and the global economy.

Our mission is to provide accessible, practical and industry-relevant vocational education that transforms learners from job seekers into job creators, while promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and lifelong learning.

Our current NBTE-approved skills areas include: -Welding & Fabrication - Computer Hardware Repairs & Maintenance - Fashion Design & Tailoring - Solar PV Installation & Maintenance - Plumbing & Pipe Fitting - Floor & Wall Tiling We are committed to expanding our programmes in response to emerging industry needs.

Our programmes are designed for school leavers, young people, adults, artisans, entrepreneurs, employees and anyone who wishes to acquire a practical skill for employment or business development.

Admission requirements depend on the specific programme. Generally, applicants may be required to possess First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and/or SSCE, GCE or equivalent qualifications, depending on the programme and applicable regulatory requirements.

Our vocational skills programmes are structured around practical learning, with the standard training period generally lasting six months, subject to the requirements of the particular programme.

Yes. Successful trainees receive certificates in accordance with the applicable programme and regulatory framework. Where applicable, programmes are aligned with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) requirements.

Absolutely. Entrepreneurship is central to our philosophy. Beyond technical competence, we encourage learners to develop the confidence, business mindset and practical knowledge required to establish and manage sustainable enterprises.

Yes. Our programmes are designed to develop practical competencies relevant to employment opportunities, contract work, self-employment and entrepreneurship. However, employment is not automatically guaranteed upon graduation.

No. Beginners are welcome. Our programmes are designed to take learners from foundational knowledge through practical competency.

Yes. We seek to make vocational education accessible to people from different backgrounds. Training schedules and programme arrangements may vary depending on the course.

Yes. Practical training is a major component of our programmes, and learners are exposed to relevant tools, equipment, techniques and workplace practices appropriate to their chosen field.

Absolutely! IDOFED CVSAE believes that skills have no gender. Women are encouraged to participate in every programme for which they meet the admission requirements.

Yes, subject to programme schedules and institutional requirements. Students who wish to acquire multiple skills may discuss their options with the admissions office.
