The Department of Welding & Fabrication Technology provides students with comprehensive hands-on and theoretical training in modern metal joining, cutting, and fabrication processes. Our program is designed to equip graduates with practical technical skills, safety standards, and engineering principles required to excel in manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, marine engineering, and structural fabrication industries.
Practical Mastery: Gain proficiency in key welding processes including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), and Oxy-Fuel Cutting.
Blueprint Reading & Design: Develop the ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings, fabrication schematics, and structural layouts.
Quality & Testing: Understand weld inspection methods, non-destructive testing (NDT), metallurgy, and quality assurance principles.
Workplace Safety: Learn and apply international industrial safety regulations, workshop etiquette, and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

National Diploma (ND) Program

O’Level Requirements: Minimum of 5 credit passes in SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB in no more than two sittings, including:
