The Department of Solar PV Installation & Maintenance at Idofed Polytechnic is dedicated to equipping students with practical, hands-on expertise in renewable energy technology. Program Objectives

• Design & Sizing: Learn to accurately calculate power loads, size PV arrays, select appropriate inverters and battery storage systems, and design optimal configurations.

• Hands-on Installation: Gain practical experience in mounting solar panels, wiring system components, installing charge controllers, and setting up grid-tied or off-grid power systems.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop diagnostic skills to inspect existing solar arrays, detect system faults, carry out routine maintenance, and perform repairs efficiently.
